Europe questions
Which networks will I use?
Most countries have 2 or 3 local networks on this plan. In Italy, for example, that's TIM, Iliad and Wind. Your phone joins whichever is strongest where you are.
Do I need a new eSIM for each country?
No. One eSIM works in all 35 countries. When you cross a border, your phone joins a local network on its own.
Does it work in the Netherlands?
Yes, on KPN and Vodafone.
Does it work in France or Turkey?
No. France, Turkey, Serbia and Albania aren't covered. These plans cover the 35 countries listed on this page.
Do I get a local phone number?
No. Tetherd plans are data only. Keep your own SIM switched on for calls and texts from home, and use WhatsApp, FaceTime or Messenger over your data.
When does my plan start?
When your phone first connects to a network in one of the covered countries. Install it at home the day before you fly. The days don't start counting until you arrive.
