Tetherd isn't selling yet. These terms will apply to every order once we open.

These terms cover buying and using a Tetherd travel eSIM. "We" and "Tetherd" mean Byteyard (ABN 55 703 374 421). You can reach us at hello@byteyard.com.au.

What you're buying

A Tetherd plan is a prepaid, data-only eSIM for the destination and amount of data shown when you buy it. It has no phone number, calls or texts. It works through local mobile networks at your destination, which we don't own or run.

Your phone

Your phone must support eSIM and be unlocked. Please check before you buy, using our phone checker. If it turns out your phone can't use it, you can get a full refund as long as the eSIM hasn't been installed.

Delivery and installing

• We email your eSIM to the address you give at checkout, usually within minutes.
• Each eSIM installs once, on one phone. Keep the email private: anyone with the QR code could install it first.
• Start using it within six months of buying it.

When your plan runs

Your plan starts when your phone first connects to a network at your destination, not when you buy or install it. It ends when you've used all the data or the plan's days run out, whichever comes first. Unused data doesn't carry over.

Coverage and speed

Coverage and speeds depend on the local networks and where you are. Signal can be weaker indoors, in remote areas, underground and at sea. Each destination page lists the networks its plan uses. These can change if a network changes its arrangements, and we'll update the page when they do.

Using it fairly

Use Tetherd for your own travel. Don't resell it, use it for anything unlawful, or use it in a way that harms the networks or other people. Local networks may slow or stop service that breaks their rules.

Prices and payment

Our prices are set in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. If you're outside Australia, we show them in your own currency, converted at that day's exchange rate and rounded up. You can switch to Australian dollars, or another currency, at the bottom of any page. Checkout shows the exact amount and currency before you pay. You pay in full when you order. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider, and we never see your card details.

Refunds

See our refund policy. In short: a full refund for any reason before you install, and a replacement or refund if it doesn't work.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where the law lets us, our liability for a plan that fails is limited to supplying it again or refunding what you paid for it.

Your information

We use your details only to deliver your eSIM and support you. See our privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version on this page when you buy is the one that applies to your order.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
